The art of going forward the United way

Tuesday evening found me and my regular United chap ensconced in a pub in Borough (The Old Kings Head) which at first glance had proved unpromising; disappointingly so as it had come recommended on the RI forum. However, my mood improved considerably upon spying a sign chalkily announcing that the United game would be shown in their function room. Lets just say it turned out to be much like watching in your own lounge with a much bigger TV and a pool table.. The only downside being the slight lack of atmosphere and the severe drop in temperature as the night progressed - a function room evidently has no want for radiators...........

Without resorting to the sort of fawning Arsenal are currently attracting it would be fair to say we tore Dynamo Kiev a new one........the forward play of our front three (tevez, rooney & ronaldo) was a joy to behold. Even more so as we bask in the knowledge that there is a lot lot more to come. Special mention should also be given to Anderson who gave more than glimpses of his ability and I feel confident already to proclaim he'll become a world class midfield player at United. Throw in nani and it's clear that the forward line for United will hold pace, skill and goals for many a season. The fact that we do not have an out and out striker can only benefit us - goals come from all angles when we have no real focal point and the interplay and switching of positions by these players mean they must be a bewitching sight for any defence.

I'll let Arsenal gather the plaudits for their "perfect" (really?- I mean to say they look impressive but it's Only October and I wonder whether like the All Blacks they've peaked a little early...) football but I rest comfortable in the knowledge that although we may not be perfect United are becoming ruthless and that my friends will win you far far more.
